IEEE Consumer Electronics Society – Bombay Section

In central region of India there was no IEEE Consumer Electronics Society. In fact except Bangalore chapter, there was no IEEE Consumer Electronics Society in rest of India. In central India, Madhya Pradesh is the educational hub and includes major research/educational organizations such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, IIMs (all institute of National Importance declared by Government of India), several universities as well as industries. An IEEE CE society helps achieve/realize the following goals from a member’s perspective:

(a) Organizing of regular workshops and seminars for IEEE members/professionals, graduate students and industry practitioners. Helping current CE practitioners improve their capabilities, and lead to further fundamental CE research and development in India.

(b) Allows being part of research award contests enabling participation from members/professionals from all over India.

(c) Connecting with experts from industry and academia to share their current research with the community.

(d) Mentoring and grooming the next generation of CE Engineers by working directly with National Engineering Institutes.
